Soulart 'Ashwattha Kolam Collection' is a special collection of Kolam Paintings on leaves. This collection consists of very fine & intricate, kolam designs. These paintings are inspired from an ancient art technique of painting on dried leaves of Pipal tree (Ficus Religiosa). These leaves are extremely delicate and porous in nature beacuse of the fine skeleton of veins that remain in the dried leaves, which gives a unique 'net like' background to these paintings. Each kolam painting is created in a calculated dot grid created on the leaf skeleton, while the entire leaf is finely outlined with colour and framed in engineered wood.
